Our First STEAM Night

Our very FIRST Family STEAM Night was a huge success!! We had approximately 350 students and families come to the event. Kinder-2nd graders put on musical performances in the cafeteria, there was a ton of artwork on display, and families got to explore learning stations in the gym and library. A few of these stations were: Ozobots, Makey Makeys, Hot Wheels Speedometry Kits, Lego Mindstorms, and others!

Thank you to all that attended, and we look forward to our next event!

Makey Makey Fun in the Library

We have been busy the last couple of weeks with our Makey Makeys! Every 4th grade class came to the library explore with the Makey Makeys as an introduction to circuits, insulators and conductors.

4th grade teachers carried the learning on to their classrooms with a follow up activity using the Makey Makeys and creating circuits.

A group of 5th graders also brought in their younger 1st grade buddies to explore making music with the Makey Makeys. It was a great time for mixed ages to collaborate and create!
